La Zeez and began making preparations to open Ali Baba.
Aoutabachi's partner in Ali Baba,
Mahmoud Dukmak, worked at La Zeez, as well as several other
Middle Eastern eateries along the Front Range; born in Lebanon,
he lived for a while in Syria, and it was there that he
learned the art of hospitality.
In
2002 and 2004, Ali Baba Grill received the "Best Of
Denver" award for the best Middle Eastern food in the
area. Ali Baba is truly a family run business where
everyone is welcome. Each small artistic artifact
in the restaurant has a story. One unique fact about
Ali Baba is that all shopping for each day is done every
morning and all food is cooked fresh daily.
